A number of Republicans want to pass legislation that would take away retirement savings and health care from Michigan's local public employees – including our nurses, police officers, and firefighters.
You read that right. They want to take health care away from the brave men and women who put their lives on the line to protect our communities each and every day. That's just plain wrong, and we need to fight back right now to stop them.

Republicans tried to do this a year ago, but we mobilized, we fought back, and we won.
I know we can do it again, but we need to have a big crowd at the capitol next Wednesday to send a message loud and clear that the legislature needs to do the right thing and protect our first responders.
